Today, my boyfriend and I went shooting. While I was showing him how to properly hold and adjust a rifle, he accidentally pulled the trigger. The gun kicked back and hit me in the face, breaking my nose. FML

Today, I shot my boyfriend in the balls by mistake, twice. First it was a paintball gun I was using with my nephew, then it was a slingshot I use to scare away the bird who keeps eating fish from my pond. He is now sat icing his groin acting like I did it on purpose. FML

Today, I was fooling around with my boyfriend in his room. He grabbed me behind the head to pull me in for a hard, romantic kiss. He accidentally smashed my nose into his cheekbone, and my nose started gushing blood and continued to bleed for over 2 hours. It's broken, and he just laughed. FML

first of all if you know anything about basic range safety rule #3 KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SITES ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE PREPARED TO SHOOT. that would have been the first thing you discussed with your BF and secondly why the hell would your face be near the butt. sheesh scary that people that ignorant own firearms...

Have you ever heard of the safety lock on a gun?!?!?!? If you really knew what you were doing with a rifle, then the first thing you would have checked was to make sure it was turned on, and know right away that there was no possible way the gun could have fired when his finger "accidentally" slipped!!! It scares me to know that some people don't even have the brains to check the simplest, life saving devices when it comes to dangerous firearms.

I know nothing about firearms at all but I still find it hard to believe that you were discussing weapon safely WITH A LOADED GUN! Surely he should learn to handle the weapon safely BEFORE you load it. By the time it's loaded he should know what he's doing with it I would hope.

Before you let him hold your loaded, unsafetied rifle you should have taught him to keep his finger away from the trigger. Thank Jeebus you only got a broken nose and didn't accidentally shoot someone. YDI.
