Today, it's the third day my ring won't come off. I used soap, vegetable oil, lotion, soaked my hand in ice to make the swelling of my finger to come down, and even my mom pulled so hard she dislocated my finger. FML

How did you find out the finger was dislocated? You probably went to the hospital, where you could have got the ring off.

I'm no doctor so this is a bit of a shot in the dark but I'm PRETTY SURE when you dislocate your finger it REALLY FREAKING HURTS. I would assume that is how she knew, but like I said I'm not a doctor.

While I agree with cheeksmcgeek (really, you don't need a doctor to tell you you've dislocated your finger), IF the finger had indeed been dislocated, the OP would have had to go to a doctor or emergency department to get it re-located and probably get some pain relief. I would have thought they could cut it off then. Unless the OP is happy walking around the house in agonising pain with a dislocated finger.

Do what most married guys do to take off the ring. Finger a stripper at the local strip club. That usually will take anything off. If you're a girl you can either go the girl route or the boy strip club route.

Yea, I've heard this trick also. It's supposed to work, but I dunno how you're supposed to get the floss under the ring to begin with.

THIS. IT works better than anything else these jokers are suggesting. If it doesn't come off with windex, you need to have it cut off. Any ER or Jeweler can do it.

do not worry I got a ring stuck once lay off salt and give it about a week and the swelling should go down then very patiently try to remove it
