Today, I went to the hospital to get my ingrown toenail removed. The doctors put me on a little surgery table and told me to relax. They then injected anesthetic into my toe four times and used a pair of scissors to slowly cut through my nail. Only, the anesthetic hadn't started to work just yet. FML

I've had this done 3 times, both feet (first time didn't take). Every time, they did the exact same thing. F$%king hurts, eh?

Its a toenail that grows inwards, which cuts your skin, causing blood and pus to come out. Lol.

I don't clip mine, and I got two that had to have surgery to cut them out. Sometimes, all it takes is an odd growth pattern.

still, if they're a runner at all there's not much you can do. chances automatically go up for getting one. I ran CC for 4 years during HS and had one periodically all through high school it seemed like. I'd do my best to fight it off but it gets to a point you gotta take that shit to the doc.

Ingrown toenails happen when it gets too long, not too short. At least in my experience they have. Maybe my toes are just weird.

I did the same, all you had to do was tell the doctor lol unless your doctor went too fast, but trust me, it feels so good without my ingrown toenails

Suck it up, I know some countries where they don't give you any anasthetic before removing an ingrown toenail.
