While he shouldn't have done that without your consent/her consent (depending on her age), it's not like this is the end of the world. Make sure she knows she's still beautiful no matter what. (Which I'm sure you do anyway)

Yes, 68, while it may be temporary pain, you can be sent to the hospital for it, even at that age. A shaved head is only painful from a social and personal standpoint, and cannot send you to a hospital. Kicking a man in the groin, while painful, is also assault, and taking revenge a little too far. I don't agree with what he did, and I agree that OP should get back at him, but assault is too far. Better alternatives could be something along the line of putting his hand in warm water while he is sleeping, and other such things.

I'm done, you guys taught me my lesson. Kicking guys down low is alright and socially accepted, anything else as revenge is too weak. Thank you for clarifying, I now realize that this whole time no messages were needed to explain this to me. I think I finally understand now. Honestly, thank all of you for being kind enough to explain this to me.

Consent to Looking after a child is not consent to let them do anything they want with them. That's like saying consent to looking after my house while I'm away is consent to completely remodeling it.

...I said he shouldn't have done it without her consent so I don't understand why you literally said what I already said. Anyway, what's done is done so the only thing she can do is make the best of the situation and make sure her daughter feels ok with it until her hair can grow back

I honestly can't believe you said that. Depending on the age of the girl it can feel like the end of the world for a time and regardless, how dare he physically alter her child!!! Who says 'what's done is done' after something like that?!? Completely absurd.
