Today, I went on a run. Going a decent pace, I passed a woman walking her dog. I joked, "C'mon! Keep up!" Thirty feet later I stepped in mud, rolled my ankle and fell. The woman walked by as I lay in agony, and told me to keep up. FML

Today, while on my daily jog, I passed a very attractive girl. While passing her, she yelled "hey cutie". Trying to look cool, I tried turning around without stopping. I then fell off the curb and severely sprained my ankle. She caught up to help but was laughing the entire time. FML

Today, I took part in a charity run for a good cause. I'd trained for months and showed up, only to trip and fall flat on my face at the starting line. I spent the rest of the race with scraped knees and a bruised ego. FML

Today, I went for a run to get in shape for the first time in ages. I put on my running shoes and hit the pavement. Halfway through, the sole of one shoe came off, and I had to hobble back home in embarrassment. FML

Today, I was running on the treadmill at my local gym when I saw a girl I like a lot. I called out to her to say hi. As she was coming over, I accidentally stepped on the belt with one foot, crashed down on the treadmill, and continued to slide down in front of her, emerging with a gashed knee and arm. FML

Today, I was walking my dog but every time he looked like he was about to "go", he became uninterested with the spot and kept walking. I, following behind, tripped over a bump in the sidewalk and face planted. My dog then finally urinated, all over my aching body. FML

Today, I was running the 100m sprint in a track meet. Me and another girl were tied for dead last. When we finished, she complained, "It's so embarrassing how slow I am today. I have shin splints. What happened to you?" I was actually running my hardest. FML

why would you say that to a stranger? if someone told me to 'keep up' when i was walking id give them the finger. but then again i'm english and it's an unwritten law to not talk to other people

I'd probably shout something insulting back to you. I can't run much, especially not on hard streets because of my knees and ankles. So I'd get pretty annoyed, even if it's just a joke since I'd LIKE to "keep up", but I simply can't. This comment wasn't meant to be a reply to you, sorry about that D8

You know what, maybe that woman doesn't like to run! I personally prefer fast walks to running, but I'm moving and that's all you should care about. Who are you to discourage someone from their form of exercise? They aren't sitting on their ass getting fat, they're moving. People like you are the reason some are afraid to exercise.
