Well, OP wasn't really saying her husband sucks because of what he said, she was just disappointed at the fact she was trying to look sexy for him and he "didn't notice" her- Though that's something women tend to think a lot when it is not true at all. I'm a guy and therefore I'm usually biased and try to defend the guys in the story, but there's just way too much lack of information here to know anything and I'm actually leaning towards the wife. It's disappointing when you try to dress up (or whatever) and your spouse doesn't even noticeget into it at the moment, that's all.

Then why didn't he appreciate the 'little things' like his wife making an effort to dress up for him! She clearly feels unappreciated and that may have been going on for a while so this is just the last little thing that makes it an FML. That she feels ignored by someone who is supposed to adore her is the FML here, in case you missed it. And ignoring your wife for ice cream is just immature, there is a time to be young at heart and a time to grow up!
