Today, I told my son if he wanted the new internet password he had to clean his room. I then caught him disconnecting my laptop from the internet. Turns out he changed the password months ago and now if I want the new password he wants £50. I ended up paying. I'm actually proud of the sneaky sod. FML

And it never occurred to simply hard-reset the router and reconfigure the wifi because...?

If my kid tried that with me, a quick call to the cable company cutting off the internet would occur, and also a deactivation of the cell phone as well.

How old is your son? Why do you let him run the house? Plenty of ways around what he did.

Well we know who is in charge of that household.

Seriously? You actually paid the little shit? And you're proud of him for manipulating you? This is what's wrong with kids these days - no parenting.

There is a thing called a cord lock that does exactly that it attaches over the end of the cord "locking" it so it cannot be plugged in and it can only be removed with the key. Put some of those on his electronic devices cords and charge him 100 per cord
