Today, I failed my maths exam because of one single question, which I have been practicing for months and gotten very good at it. It was the first question… however, when the exam started, I forgot it all. FML

Today, I had a maths test and I realised that I'd studied the wrong topics. The teacher said the test would be difficult and I stayed up till 1 a.m. just to be prepared. FML
Today, I cheated on my math exam. I still failed. FML
Today, I took an exam, for which I have been studying for weeks, I was confident at first, but then really struggled with it. I finished with about ten minutes to spare, turned to what I thought would be the end of my paper and found the first page of questions I was supposed to have answered. FML
Today, I had a very hard and long exam and I was completely prepared for it. I was so confident in my abilities and I'd studied really hard. When I entered the exam hall and took the paper, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my calculator. FML
Today, after burning all my past-papers, books and notes in celebration of finishing maths forever, I found out I have to re-take my maths exam to get the minimum grade for college. FML
Today, I re-sat an expensive exam I'd flunked 6 months previously. The same impossible multiple choice questions appeared, which I'd been unable to find the answers to, even with all my textbooks and the internet. FML
Today, I was taking a test and thought I was doing great until I realized I was writing all my answers on the question paper, not the answer sheet. By the time I noticed, there were only five minutes left. FML
Today, I realized my brain has degraded so fucking much when I could only do one math question over the span of 24 hours. FML
Today, I got a big math test back. Good news: I can connect abstract ideas beyond what was taught. Bad news: I can’t do simple math, such as 30/-5. I failed. FML
Today, I failed a calculus exam because I simply was too burnt out to study for it. I have not wanted to even look at a math problem since the beginning of the year, and I procrastinate all day instead of doing work, and it leads me here, typing at 2 a.m. to random strangers while having to get up tomorrow at 7. FML

Test Anxiety is very real. That helped me have more than one semester below 0.5 GPA. It helps to go hit the other questions and build up your memory/confidence.

Test Anxiety is very real. That helped me have more than one semester below 0.5 GPA. It helps to go hit the other questions and build up your memory/confidence.

It’s important to study for your exams and even more important to do your assignments as you get them. But it’s also very important to get a good night’s sleep before the exam. I understand that can be difficult if you are having anxiety about the upcoming test… Maybe talk to your teacher ASAP and explain what happened. It’s just possible that they might feel sympathy and let you do a makeup test. But don’t demand it - that won’t get you anywhere.
