Today, I canceled my ATM card, because it had been lost. Then I found it. Then I found out I can't reactivate it, because I asked for a replacement card. I'm from CA, and I'm in Mexico with only 20 bucks. FML

Today, after my bank sent me a new card because the old one had been compromised, I woke up to find that it's already been used to start an Amazon Prime account and order several movies. The card to replace a compromised card has been compromised. FML

Today, I went to the bank to get a temporary debit card, since I lost my wallet a week ago. On my drive across the street from the bank to the DMV, a car slammed into mine at the intersection, nearly totaling my car. The movie theater I went to last week just called and said they'd found my wallet. FML

Today, as soon as I put my card into an ATM, the words "Out of Order" popped up and it would not return my card. Since I was at the bank, I got a free replacement. Trying to draw money again the second machine did the same thing and a third card costs more than what I have in my account. FML

Depending on the type of card (check first) you might be able to punch a hole in the corner (not the side with the magnetic strip) and attach it a your wallet or wherever you keep it with one of those retracting reels. I'm not quite as bad as you... but only because I tend to forget my car keys and it is hard to get too far without them.

I have a habit of putting my card in my pocket rather than Mack in my wallet, I've gone through quite a few so I feel your pain OP, but sorry, just as I do whenever I lose mine, YDI.
