Today, I learned that, since getting my tongue ring, it has become imprudent to test 9-volt batteries with my tongue. FML

81 has a point. electracution is death ( you could come back to life with CPR) getting shocked was what op did

For all the people askin why you'd put a 9v in your mouth- it's the easiest way to see if it's dead. Make contact with both terminals with your tounge, feel a tingle. My dad did it to me, I do it to my kids, haha, good times. I have a tounge ring, got it 7 years ago. I have, out of habit (which battery came out of the smoke alarm? This one? Yep!) touched my tounge to a battery since then. The tingle is more intense, closer to a shock, but no where near heart stopping. From what I remember of the time I stuck my finger in a light socket (shut it, everyone was 4 once, ask your mom how old you were when you did it), that was much worse. So, OP, ydi for bein a pussy.

was this your attempt at a darwin award...? |the kid|

Am I the only one who thinks putting batteries in your mouth is a bad idea anyway?
