Today, I heard two of my students having a conversation. One asked what state Arizona was in, and the other replied Canada. I teach sixth grade social studies and they weren't joking. FML

Let's take into account the date. It's the end of August - how long could she have been teaching these kids for, a week? Give her a break. On a side note, on a senior trip to Europe, my group met up with another group of students/teachers from the midwest. One of the teachers asked me where I was going to college, and I replied "The University of New Mexico, at Albuquerque" .... she replied "Is that anywhere near Tijuana?"
