**** those dudes

Today, my Tinder date said it wasn’t gonna work, all because, I “need to lose some extra pounds.” Last week, I'd had another Tinder date and he told me he’d continue seeing me if I dropped at least 30 pounds. I think I get the hint now. FML

Man it sounds like guys on Tinder can be such assholes. There’s a whole Reddit with screenshots of very cringeworthy messages from guys on there. (And yes, women too before anyone gets their panties in a bunch about reverse sexism or whatever.) Something about this internet age seems to be making people more rude and just straight-up dicks. The anonymity of the internet encourages people to say what they want with no filter and no consequences, and maybe that’s bleeding over into real life. Yuck. OP, screw those assholes (figuratively, not literally) and move on to find someone worthy of you! And you can work on weight loss or fitness goals if that’s what *you* want to do for your own well-being and happiness. Good luck continuing your navigation of the Tinder minefield!

put a current picture up that shows what you actually look like. plenty of guys are assholes, but there are also guys who will either accept or prefer you the way you are. there are plenty of people that you are just right for. if you are not Enough for them, that is a them problem not a you problem

There's no doubt that if you lose weight, you will have more options. Or, you could select from among those who will like you the way you are. I'm guessing your Tinder profile pic is misleading. If you choose the latter route, put a more realistic pic online so you'll only attract viable candidates.

Screw those guys! You feeling happy in your own body is way more important. Wether thats a bigger or a smaller body. Stay true to yourself :)

I like that these men are so honest and direct with you. There's nothing wrong with knowing what you want and telling the truth to potential partners. In fact some studies have found that honesty and communication can often be really helpful in a relationship. Also 30 pounds is a lot, im a guy and if I went from my healthy 160 to 190 that would significantly increase my health risk for all sorts of conditions.

#1 fear for women in tinder is that they might get murdered. #1 fear for men is that the girl might be fat.

theyre ******* losers, first and foremost. second, if you decide to lose weight, do it for yourself or your health. not for some shallow potential partner who is selfish and self centered, that doesnt understand bodies can fluctuate for many reasons and should have no impact on their love for someone.
