Today, I got yelled at and called a pedo by a mother after I sat down in a swing next to her daughter. I was too embarrassed to tell her that I'm a 20 year old who really does enjoy swinging in my spare time. FML

You had nothing to be ashamed about! I'm a 37 yr old woman, and I think it's nuts playgrounds are only made for children. I still love the swings & some of the other stuff that's not too small for adults to play on. Way more fun than the stuffy old gym to get a little exercise!

I think it's okay to enjoy swinging and using playground equipment but not next to children, because there are parents who WILL freak out. Maybe next time you could wait until after hours? That'll seem less suspicious if all you're doing is swinging.

Your logic is a little skewed. People shouldn't have to feel like criminals just because of the paranoia of people who are incapable of rational thought. It wasn't too long ago that behaviour like this would be considered innocent, that viewing this act in the way she is would suggest there is something wrong with her rather than him.
