Today, I bought an iTunes giftcard worth $50. I tried to scratch off the little silver thing covering the code with a pair of scissors. I scratched so much that it's now unreadable. FML

If you enter an incorrect code enough times it gives you the option to "get help" which lets you type in the serial number.

Which is why you use a coin...

I've done that! But it wasn't worth $50. More like $15. But still, man, that sucks!

theres a sticker over the code with the grey scratch off you could have peeled it off

YDI for getting an iTunes Gift Card. Buy some Microsoft Points and use the Zune Store. Hell, go download Vuze and torrent the stuff. Anything's better than putting your money in Steve Jobs' greedy hands.

Absolutely agree with ya. Microsoft did a statistic that a 160GB iPod costs over 20,000 dollars to fill up with iTunes. Using anything else to get songs on your mp3 player is better then THAT -_-

Wow, talk about stupid. My 8 year old brother did that. And it says 'SCRATCH OFF WITH COIN' This isn't a fml.

why use scissors? coin or fingernail gets the job done and does not make the code unreadable.

Laziness? I did the same thing once because there were no coins in my room and my fingernails are too short. But all you have to do is email iTunes and they email you a new code.

uhh... you no the code is on the receipt right?
