Neither is a gold digger for getting $100. The parents chose that amount. They're either being very generous, or spoiling their kid. Both are possible, we just don't know the full story.

Exactly! Every fall I help my buddy with cutting trees down and splitting the wood for his wood stove. His mom'll give me like 20 bucks max to help do it. That's 4 hours a day for 3 days. I don't help him just for the money, that's just what friends should do. Agreed! Chores are your way of chipping in, helping each other and keeping the place you live in tidy. Why the hell would she get paid $100, it would have been $200 normally. I'm a kid right now, 14, and I do most of the chores around the house because I know that I'd want someone to do that for me. When I was younger I got paid 10p, as an incentive because at that age you'd do anything for that, I thought you were meant to grow up as you got older and learn to care and help others. I hate when people say this generation is bad, but there sure as hell is a lot of things to prove it. Throwing a tantrum at whatever age she is, tell her to grow the frick up and get on with life. Generally when I help a friend with chores I don't expect anything more than a case of beer and a pizza afterwards. The pizza is negotiable if his/her mom's gonna cook for us.

I've helped plenty friends move the most I usually get is a meal.

Ah, helping friends move.. That's going to happen to everyone at some point haha. I've helped the same girl move 5 times in the past 3 years. But helping someone move and cutting enough wood to last a winter are way different. Anyone who has a wood stove knows how much time and effort you gotta put into them bitches. My buddy and I usually have some fun doing it though. I'm lucky I have electric heat, because I guarantee I'd hate having to cut, split, and stack wood for years and years. He's always there when I need help though, so I always help him when I feel I should.

I can't feel your pain that must be hard man. I'm from the south it doesn't usually get cold enough here for that. The closest I've gotten was raking leaves in 30 deegree weather back when I spent Winter at my older cousins house in Arkansas. I got $50 & pizza for that though.
