How is the OP homophobic ? Assuming that only gay guys have anal sex is ignorant yes but not homophobic or close minded. The reason she could suspect him of being gay is because he got quiet when she asked how he knew how it felt if it was with woman he would of said so. Suspecting someone of being gay doesn't equal homophobia. Note I am not gay but I support gay rights and see nothing wrong with homosexuality. P.S I am aware this post is 10 months old.
