Today, I decided to ask my friend to the school dance, which is one where the girls ask the guys. I spent hours placing signs down his street so he would see them on his way home. As I was waiting in his driveway with balloons, I saw his car reverse and go in the opposite direction. FML

Today, I went to a concert with a friend of mine. When his dad came to pick him up, I walked towards the car, expecting a ride. His dad told me he didn't have time to drive me home. I'm his neighbour. FML

Today, I was going to ask this girl I love to homecoming. I set up a scavenger hunt, and my friend led her through it. At the end of the scavenger hunt I had a note that said, "Homecoming?" She said yes and hugged my friend. When I told her it was me who was asking, she laughed and said no. FML

You didn't deserve that one AT ALL! Good for you for being bold. I wish I had had half the guts you did when I was in school, I was a really shy chick! I couldn't even be near guys I crushed on because I thought they would totally run away! Don't be discouraged, find another, hotter guy and walk up to him and point-blank and ask him out!!! Don't waste your time on this other dude, he's clearly a major-league puss! He'll regret it later, when he's older and gets married to some ungrateful woman who probably won't do crap for him! I agree with everyone else who thinks this is creepy. Signs all over his neighborhood and balloons?Seriously how old are you? And i realise you put a lot of effort into planning this.... but serious ANY guy would see that and run. That has obsessive and stalke written all over it.

#118 - Im with you on the technology thing, But I thikn the "stalker signage" would have gone over better if she KNEW whether or not he liked her. While the idea was cute, it was DEFINITELY overboard. He's a guy, not a girlfriend, they get freaked out by over the top displays of emotion.
