At this stage, an electrolyte drink would be a good idea, and you can get some drink mixes (sugar-free ones are at your local supermarket) to feed him 'healthy water' until you can get him to a wastewater plant to learn how it works. Plus some of the drink mixes have vitamins. It's not lying, it's picking your battles!
Vodka is much cleaner than tap water. Your kid is 7 -- he's ready.
Your kid can still drink pressed orange juice, apple juice not from concentrate, drinkable yogurt, freshly made smoothies, and milk. No water was used in the preparation of those drinks.
