Today, was my birthday. I purposely didn't log onto Facebook all day, so that I could read all my birthday wishes at once. When I logged on at the end of the day, I had one notification. My "friend" had commented on a picture of me, saying I looked like Jabba the Hut. FML

Today, I wished my best friend a happy birthday with a long, heartfelt post on social media. Turns out her birthday is next week, she'd just set a trap by changing the date on her profile. I was so confident that I even added, “Finally remembered this year!” FML
Today, I forgot to log out of my Facebook account before leaving for work. When I got back home, I discovered that my brother had gone through and commented "quack" on all my friend's duckfacing photos. She was not pleased. FML

Don't feel too bad, I've missed many friend's birthdays because the notification for it is at the bottom of the page. My birthday is in a couple of weeks and I bet the same thing will happen

"Blame it on the new facebook." I agree. Before it was at the top, so you would notice. Nobody would go check at the bottom everyday. Although a true friend wouldn't need facebook to know your birthday lol.

Maybe your friends were too busy wishing the Earth a happy birthday to remember one of 6 billion people throwing a pity party over facebook. Having been deployed for a consecutive 3 birthdays in a row I can happily say they are overrated.
