I'm sincerely proud of you. Instead of complying and creating a cycle, you did the right thing acknowledging her abusive, idiosyncratic behavior and spared your children from her. Great job 👏. An excellent parenting performance. Keep up the great work.

No matter how much you know it’s the right thing to do, it still hurts to cut someone off knowing they could and should have been better. I’m very proud of you that you managed to put your and your kids’ wellbeing above that possibility, though. The first step is the hardest, and from here you can heal.

good for you. I was born and raised Roman catholic, yet I don't go to church. I only want to attend the one I went to, yet now is logistically impossible. I'm more of the 'stigmata' type person. as in God is everywhere. as long as you have your faith, you can pray and talk to God and your loved ones anywhere. stigmata as in the movie, btw
