umm ok..
One of my mum's friends did something similar to a conservatory telemarketer. Answered their questions, got them thinking they had a sale, then: "One final question: do these conservatories come on stilts? Only I'm in a 5th-floor flat." Maybe the no-dog lady was evil like that. Hehe. I hate people who accost me in the street with their business propositions.
she was just being sympathetic!
You want people to listen to you when you pitching your business to them. Then bitch about them listening to you. Get a real job.
You need to shorten your spiel. 15 minutes to talk about dog grooming is too frickin long!!
Yea. I would have told you no thank you after 1 min and walked off

So you had a whole 15 minute conversation about your pet grooming business and you didn't bother asking her any questions? Especially important ones like, "So, what kind of dog do you own?"
At least she was polite and let you finish your spiel. She wasn't being a bitch.
