Today, I finally managed to get through to the radio station that I always listen to. I handed the phone to my dad so he could win the prize for me, because I'm under 18. He hung up because he thought it was a prank call. FML

Today, I decided to try and call into a local radio station to try and win concert tickets for one of my favorite bands. I called in and was actually the winning number. When asked my name I answered quickly, but all I heard was "Hello? Hello?" Then they hung up. My cell phone was on mute. FML
Today, I was caller number nine on the radio, meaning I technically won the contest. I was too awkward, so they hung up on me. FML
Today, I was entered into an online contest where they announce your name on the radio and if you call in within an hour they pay your bills for you. I'm unemployed, so I got really excited when they announced my name. My call wouldn't go through - I hadn't paid my phone bill and the line was disconnected. FML
Today, I called my dad, because I haven't spoken to him in a while, and I wanted to invite him to my graduation in May. When he picked up, I said, "Hey, how have you been, dad?" He scoffed, "Wrong number" and hung up the phone. FML
Today, I got a prank call. I now wish he'd call back so I can actually talk to someone. FML
Today, after months of job searching, I finally got a call about one of my applications. I wasn't able to answer it, but he left a voicemail. I've listened to it over and over, and I can't understand the contact information. He called from a restricted number. FML
Today, the only person I actually spoke with was a prank caller. I tried to have a conversation with him, but he hung up on me. FML
Today, my father called me for the first time in two weeks since I moved away. Excited, I answered the phone. It was a mistake. He thought he'd called my sister. FML
Today, my oldest son answered my phone call much to my surprise as we haven't spoken in a year. The first words out of his mouth were, "I didn't mean to pick up the phone." He then hung up. FML
Today, I got a missed call from my dad, who hasn't talked to me in months and has vowed not to have anything to do with me. I called him back excitedly and apologized for missing his call, and we had a 20-second conversation about how his phone accidentally dialed my number. FML

He probably had to hand the phone off to his pops quickly. The radio station isn't going to hold while he explains. But hopefully he said something and didn't just hand him the phone.

28 - not necessarily true. I had called in and won a prize through a radio station years back when I was under 18, and they allowed me to put my mom on the phone to accept the prize.

It's usually the law, they couldn't give you the tickets because if you went to say a concert you won tickets to as a minor and didn't ask your parents first then you got hurt the station could be liable. So it's just easier for them to say you must be 18 or older to win.

Any all ages show I've ever been to, no matter what the band, no one ever got hurt. If someone fell in a mosh pit, everyone stops and helps them back up.. Maybe that's just the kind of community I live in though,

That's the community dude, I was at a few concerts recently, and was nearly squashed by a few moshers who were at least double or triple my weight (that's unfortunately not an exaggeration, andI'm like 165, do the math o.O but I digress.) that happened because people wouldn't help me up or allow me space to get a footing. So yeah, it's always the community xD Moshing is still amazing tho xD (as long as hardcore dancers stay out Dx)
