Kids will be kids

Today, my 4 year-old asked to go outside and play in the sprinkler. I told him not right now because I was busy and he's too little to play outside by himself. I came out of the laundry room later to find he'd brought the sprinkler in the house and turned the water on. At least he listened. FML

You are a dumbass.I hate people who leave comments that are completely irrelevant to the FMLs

CHAMiLLiTARY_fml 2

Should've put him in the shower lol

magicrock 8

thx captain obvious, none of us could have figured that out

eminemchick 19

dont worry guys its gonna get deleted soon

well at least he didn't go outside right? :D

ingenuity! gottta love the mind of a four year old

He probably thought he was soooo clever for finding a way to still play with the sprinkler yet technically obey his mom. I can just imagine the self-satisfied grin and gleeful expression on his face as he turned the sprinkler on.

xoconnie 8

howd the hose attach to the sprinkler if the hose was outside and the sprinkler was inside. must be a long hose..

The little ****** is gonna be a problem child. :)

Youknowulovemi 1

The average four year old asks 437 questions a day.

goddammit OP, the second rule is to keep it away from water!

kenjames 4

No, smart would be take a cold shower. Saves labor. Plus clothing is optional.

Nah 29, he went outside to 'get' the sprinkler actually. Lol

LiveLaughFML 10

hehe keep your eye on him OP because he's going to have a way of getting "around" things :}D

Laurenlou 24

This sounds like something I did when I was 4!! :D No not really I was an angel. OP, you should pay more attention to your child while he still WANTS your attention!

I think he is smart enought to play outside by himself if he thought that

markrs 0

29- no! He went outside and brought it in!

NomNomNomNommm 4

I sense a lawyer in the future.

cherrigirl 0

well technically wouldnt he have to go outside to get the water hose?

Just think of the stories that will be told on his wedding day

morgan020 0

Haha makes me think of my son. When he was almost 3 we got a new kitten and kept it in a cardboard box since it kept hiding. My son kept wanting to get it out and play with it and when I told him he couldn't get it out anymore, I found him in the box playing with the kitten. I've been in trouble ever since. He always finds that loophole.

eminemchick 19

ya guys know i was being sarcastic right-.-

jake1632 9

157.. Yes he would have to go outside. But OP specifically said no *playing* outside not just going out there and bringing the hose inside.

Finding a loophole at age 4? He's gonna be a brilliant lawyer.

Thinking outside the box. That kid's got a great future ahead of him.

BelleBelle_fml 11

You fail at life, and reading.

This sounds exactly like something I would have done as a kid. I'm actually kind of scared because my son is almost a rerun of me as a child.... oh god why.

eminemchick 19

you agree with your own comment?

HowAreYouToday 34

Lonely people, they are starting to multiply..:

not_cool808 14

I think 25 only agreed with themself because they made a mistake... still I had a good laugh. :D

2 - Do some upper body exercises, you look like a skeleton.

you look like skeletor do some major upperbody workouts and don't show off your abbs the only reason you have abbs is cause of low body fat percentage lmao

jake1632 9

I replied to myself cuz I was bored, thanks mrssassypants and whoever the other guy was that said it was funny. You two^ however, cAn stfu, guys. I don't give how young or skinny I am. Peace.

eminemchick 19

108 actually low body fat ppl show their ribs, not abs. thus this guy has actual strength, hes just kinda slim too:P

brettlovesgirls 4

I agree with eminemchick. And to go with your bio.. Something like karate means empty handed but mixed martial arts together mean empty pants. And shut up, the kids fourteen. What do you expect. Ninjaboy?

#3 probably shat himself flexing so hard

MrSasypants 3

You guys all have a point. The fact of the matter is that the dude opened himself up for criticism by having a picture of himself up sans shirt. That said, I, too, am open for criticism. FLAME ON!!!!

jake1632 9

I DID open myself up for criticism. And I did not "shat myself". Thanks people who have a sense of humor and a positive attitude :) and again, I couldn't care less what haters say, I was just standing up for myself.

bootiehole 3

Put a drain in the middle of the floor

eminemchick 19

bingababe 16

Completely off topic but 97 - constantly seeing you dp has been one of the main motivators for me to stop smoking lol so thank you!!

bananaburger 0

163 that was way overthought..

A Ruined house, nothings more adorable then that.

KiddNYC1O 20

Eh, supervision fail anyways. Not the kid's fault.

rudegirlmania 10

It's just some water, a little never hurt nobody. : )) plus, I'd rather some wet carpet and an adorable, clever kid than a rowdy kid who's no longer alive because he went outside to play in the sprinkler against my permission then got hit by a car or something terrible.

57 so you put your sprinkler in the middle of the street and water the concrete?

rudegirlmania 10

Not everyone's front yard is as large as a football field. Usually, the street is not very far away at all. If you're a carefree four year old who doesn't have any knowledge of the dangers of cars, you don't care where you run, be that into the street to get a ball you were playing with or towards the sprinkler, which you thought looked a whole lot more fun if you put it closer to the road. Long story short, a kid is a kid. He's too busy having fun to worry about his own death. It's sad that I have to explain this.....

I know but still he was just playing with the sprinkler, he wouldn't randomly run into the street (unless a ball he was playing in went into the street) and usually the parents teach stuff like that first. You shouldn't think of the negatives so much.

KiddNYC1O 20

You think a ball is all it takes for a kid to wander in the streets? Kids will go anywhere, especially at such age.

leadman1989 15

You can't watch a kid 24 waking hours a day. It is his fault he did it, what I think you're trying to say is he's too young to know why what he did was wrong.

KiddNYC1O 20

102- Granted. But a 4 year-old needs to be under supervision at all times. Either from one person or multiple. Need I remind you, she went to do laundry which indicates that she left the child alone for at least 10 minutes. Apparently, too long.

rudegirlmania 10

Sassy, you need to understand that I'm not thinking necessarily of the "negatives" but of the "possibles" and trying to prevent the negatives out of those. It seems like you've not been around children much, because it will become blatantly obvious once you do, that kids are so naturally innocent and almost narrow-minded when it comes to having fun. Playing is constantly on their minds. Think back when you were a kid. You have to try to remember the way your mind worked at that age. Anyway the whole point I've been posting these comments is to try to show that children are a blessing. A messy, giggling blessing that we need to do everything in our power to protect, and we need to think about our priorities if we're getting upset about some water in our house rather than having a safe and happy kid.

BellaGoBoom 6

Sassypants, that is not completely accurate. When a child is running around, carefree, they don't really look where they're going. My cousin is two and him and his friends play a game where you run around the sprinkler and don't let it touch you. Kids will be kids.

eminemchick 19

frebreze was wrong then. you can wash the inside of your house!:D

SuperDerp 8

Lol ironicly there is a fabreeze commercial right now.

What can he possibly do with a sprinkler that would be so dangerous?

I doubt the op was worried about the sprinkler. More likely they were fretting over people like boners,or one of the other maladies that can befall children.

saIty 17

Turn your house into a huge pool. Then charge your neighbors an entrance fee of twenty dollars.

reallytho3 11

If only everyone else were as smart we wouldnt b in such a mess

reallytho3 11

He's 4 guys. Cut him some slack. You can replace the inside of your house, but you can't ever replace your kid so you might as well forgive and forget.

li read most of the comments and none of them are saying how horrible most of them are positive so calm your horse...
