Today, I found out the unionized cleaning people that empty the garbage and clean the toilets make $19/hr and have more paid time off than I do with my college degree. FML

Is it bad that I read it as un-ionized people? As in a person who has yet to be ionized, like an atom in chemistry? School has definitely began.

I have a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a focus on literature and music. I wait tables. Today, I did the math, and I made ~23/hour before taxes. When I worked in an office, I made $10/hour before taxes. Some of us make decisions about what we're going to do based on the money, not the prestige.
