Today, my laziness reached an all-time high. I had a dream that I was at school and had spilled all the contents of my backpack onto the floor. I then purposely shook myself out of my sleep to avoid cleaning up the mess in my dream. FML

ideally when stuff like this happens in my dreams and I really don't want to do it, like one I often get is doing dishes, something tells me that its all fake and that I can just wake up, its really odd, but anyway, the key to lucid dreams are to realize things are fake

Me too! I've had dreams where something spills or there's a mess and somehow i either "will" the dream elsewhere, if I'm lucid enough, or just wake myself up. 52 you don't need to have the exact same dream to have similar experiences

That's exactly what I thought when I read this FML. If I had a dollar for every time I've tried to pinch myself awake to escape awkward situations, I would have so many dollars I'd have to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
