Today, my husband and I were diagnosed with herpes. We've been together for five years and were both virgins before. Even the doctor couldn't give any other explanation. FML

About 70% of people have oral herpes, so maybe it spread to your genitals after oral sex? That or someone was cheating.

You know Herpes is actually hereditary so if one of either of your parents have it, it's a possibility

Actually, if either of you had cold sores and gave special kisses, that can cause you to have genital herpes since cold sores are herpes. It could especially happen if you guys don't use condoms, so it would pass from one person to the other

it could have been from parents. My friend has it that is how she got hers. maybe ask your parents if they could get tested. or maybe just not tell you

possibilities: 1. he lied.... i hate to quote house but "everybody lies" 2. It's heredity so maybe your/his family passed it down 3. I don't suppose anyone's body fluids got into you/him? like blood and such.
