You can recover deleted files from a hard drive, but you're going to need a computer technician to do that for ya. Its a long explanation, but if you do decide to go that road be prepared to pay a hefty price.

I don't think you're wrong to have that opinion, but my guess is it's getting down votes from people of a younger generation who are tired of being told that technology is making the important things in their life somehow less valid.
