Today, my hair got stuck in my umbrella. I asked for help from passers-by, but all I got was weird looks as they hurried past me. FML

Today, I was hurrying for the bus home from work. It was raining and I had my umbrella up. As I hurried by two women, I felt my umbrella hit one of them on the head. I turned to apologise and saw her standing with her hands on her newly bald head. My umbrella had lifted her wig off her head. FML

Today, I was walking through town with my hood up and noticed people giving me funny looks. It wasn't until I got home that I realised the umbrella I was holding over my head had been closed the whole time. FML

Today, hoping to avoid the rain because I had just gotten an expensive perm, I ducked under an awning. At that moment, the store manager shook the awning, and about 6 hours of rain dumped on my head. FML

Today, a man held a door open for me while I fished my umbrella out of my very cluttered bag. As I was opening my umbrella, I turned to thank him for being such a gentleman. Instead, a tampon that had apparently wedged itself into the folds of my umbrella flew into his face. FML

Today, I was riding my bike on a sunny but windy afternoon. Coming up to an intersection, the wind switched directions and my wig blew off and landed in the middle of the road. At this point, I was almost at the other side but I had to turn around and grab my hair before the light turned green. FML

Today, while riding my bike in the rain to a counselling appointment about my depression, my shoelace came untied and got caught around my pedal, causing me to go flying off my bike directly in a huge muddy puddle right in front of a busy street of people. No one offered to help me. FML

Today, I went to get a haircut. I have a pretty bad case of dandruff, so whenever I get one, a lot of it shows. My hairstylist called to her nearby friend twice, then looked at my hair and said, "Blech" under her breath. I got glares when I walked out. FML

I really hate people. Whenever I go to big cities when I try to help homeless people or help people who just need help I get weird looks and people telling me I shouldn't. As human beings we should help eachother out not ignore or get mad at people. It seems like a really simple thing to say but so many people don't get it

I feel you OP, as a child I got caught in an escalator and people started stepping over me and walking away. It took about a full minute before someone bothered to do anything about it.

I've had that happen to me before. Like forreal, y'all looking at me like I'M the crazy one when they're the ones who look stupid not helping someone in need. Our first inclination should be to WANT to help people out not totally dismiss it. Faith in humanity denied!

Yeah it's an FML, but I don't, know how you were approaching them or trying to ask them. I'm sure they would've wanted to help if it was clear what was going on, but seeing that you were stuck in an umbrella, it was probably raining so you running yo to people with an umbrella to your head might've looked weird...

One time I was minding my own business at Walmart when a lady walked up to me and asked for my help. After I said yes she turned around, flipped her pants to show the tag (and underwear) what size it was...I just wanted to share my story.

I WILL HELP YOU!!! I will always help and it just touches me to see other ppl helping another too. Don't feel like it's like you're in the wrong feel embarrassed just cuz you need help. Nothing wrong and I will help. Helping is contagious. Next time you are reasoning in your head whether you should help, HELP! I have experienced both side of the decisions, and it always feel better to help, for me and for the receiver.
