actually my fiancé doesn't ever smell. it baffles me. he showers like every other day and works and smokes and I can't smell him. I don't smoke and I'm sensitive to smells. he's the only non smelly guy I've known without deodorant or cologne too

I agree about BO. Some people just don't have it. I'm Asian Indian but I have never had BO- unless I don't put on deodorant on a hot sunny day. I can go 2 days without showering. I just have to wash my face everyday an brush my teeth. Also, I don't live with my parents or eat Indian food a lot so that may have something to do with.

May I ask you who told you the plague is long gone and doesn't exist anymore?? It is actually present in many places in the world to this day, including epidemics in India and Madagascar. It is also still present at low levels in the United States every year (if you live there)

If you want to get all technical about it, the plague was caused by the fleas on the rats, not by the rats themselves. The rats just carried them around. As far as "people getting the plague from not showering", even if everyone showered back then, I believe the plague would have still been as bad. Not everyone could afford proper housing that could keep out fleas.

has it ever occured to you that they did die from infection?!? Infection is why people at such young ages died, the lack of knowledge on how to maintain ones health by cleaning your dirty ass! life expectancy is much higher now because things like soap and proper nutrition and meds ect.
