"Small offense" yeah those $5,000 dollar tickets for something like changing lanes without a blinker are killer.

I do like creative cops. My step dad had one like that - given the choice of the cops punishment or going to court, he chose the former. This turned out to be a slap round the head with the cops driving gloves (with his helmet still on) whilst the cop said "Don't do it again". No pain, but looked like a dick in front of his mates; and enough impact to be remembered 50 years later.
