Today, I came home to find my dad crying. Turns out my parents are getting divorced because my mom had an affair. With a teacher at my school. A female teacher. And the school isn't going to fire her because she's a good teacher. Every day at school I'm going to have to see her. FML

Today, while I was working my shift at the store, my girlfriend appeared and asked to talk to me. Once we were alone, she burst into tears and started sobbing. Turns out someone's dad died in her favorite TV show and she wanted some comfort. FML

Today, our 9-year-old daughter was removed from our home and placed into a home for children too violent to function in a family setting. I can't stop crying but my wife hasn't been this happy in years. She was actually smiling as our daughter was restrained and forced out the front door. FML

From a child's view you two divorcing may be considered good. Some children grow up with their parents constantly at each others necks, for some after hearing it for awhile you'd rather them apart. Though that might not necessarily be her case, as the other comments she may be dealing with it privately.

Possibility 1:She's trying to put on a good face and the stress is coming out in different ways. I remember when I had a house fire as a kid everyone was shocked at how little it seemed to concern me. Later that night when I was playing tick-tak-toe with my cousin I freaked out because they only had a pen and I wanted a pencil to play with. Stress can come out in weird ways. Possibility 2: Your relationship was toxic and she views the divorce as a wholly good thing, while the same can not be said for the actor leaving.
