Today, my boyfriend convinced me to face my fear of horror movies by promising to hold my hand through the entire flick. He fell asleep 10 minutes into it, farting and snoring in his sleep, whilst I was paralysed by fear. FML

Maybe it was a horror movie viewing at home? And OP said "paralyzed with fear" so his or her fear made it inpossible to move.

If it was at home she should have just stopped the movie.

I would've taken the advantage to try and scare him in his sleep somehow.

Do you not understand the concept of paralysis? It means you can't move whatsoever, that includes eyes lol

you couldn't have just turned it off when he fell asleep or left the room?

this may just be my immaturity talking but that would have to be some deathly horrifying film for me to not think the sleep farting was funny enough to laugh at

Return the favor by making him face one of every guys greatest fear. Next time you're going down on him start to bite down.......

A list of questions arise
1. Why didn't you wake him up?
2. Why didn't you switch off the device or leave the theatre?
3. Was the movie so boring, that your bf fell asleep?

answers:
1 + 2: paralyzed with fear meant an inability to move.
3. maybe the boyfriend was so exhausted, he passed out as soon as he relaxed to watch the movie.

It's just an expression, 16. I doubt OP was actually paralyzed. Especially since nothing scary ever happens just 10 minutes into a horror movie.

The movie itself might not have been scary yet, 19 - especially for people who don't have a fear of horror movies. But if OP is that scared of the very idea oh horror movies they may well have been to scared to think logically.

@19 I thought the same too until obese the grudge. they dove right into the scary stuff from the get-go.

If the mere idea of a possibly scary movie scares you so much you can't turn it off, move, or even think about doing those things, YDI. she should watch more scary movies to stop that from happening. I wonder how well she does in actual dangerous situations.

#44 to be fair, a lot of scary movies don't include "real life" scary situations. Like I doubt I'll ever have to face demons, zombies, vampires, spirit exorcisms, etc... in my day-to-day life. So I'm sure in regular dangerous situations, she will do just fine. If it was just dangerous situations, then action flicks would terrify her too, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
