Today, my 6 year old daughter asked me if the tooth fairy was real. I said yes, and she said she wanted to try to catch her. Later, she pulled out a tooth and put it under her pillow. I came in to take out the tooth and replace it with money. There were mouse traps behind her pillow. FML

Now I have this image in my head of a little girl waking up to find a decapitated fairy under her pillow.

that's what you get for lying to a 6yr old lol

that's just awesome. how'd she get the mouse traps in the first place is concerning but her determination to catch the tooth fairy is just too cute!

Absolutely fake. Spring-loaded mousetraps are very sensitive. Simply putting a pillow on it might be enough to trigger it, let alone having a kid lay on the pillow.

FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE It doesn't even make sense. If they were under her pillow, they couldn't be set anyways. FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE

If she was able to get her hand on mousetraps, that is YOUR failing in life as an irresponsible parent.

Thank you #41. My first reaction reading this was how irresponsible a parent would have to be to have mousetraps in areas where a six year old could managed to get ahold of them. I'd be surprised if a child in that situation still had ten fingers before they reached seven.

I find it sad that she wanted to kill the tooth fairy.

Finding out the Tooth Fairy wasn't real didn't destroy my life. I think before the age of 10 Adults try to make life Rated G. It's a good thing.
