Today, the kids I babysit hid from me. While I was looking for them, I stepped on multiple strategically-placed Lego bricks. When I yelped from the pain, the kids jumped out and threw soccer balls in my face. FML

Today, I slipped on my son's Hot Wheels cars and fell onto a building made out of Lego. I now have a fractured tailbone and a broken wrist. I called my husband to tell him what happened and all he could do was laugh. My son didn't leave them on the floor, my husband did. FML

Today, I grounded my son after finding out that he's been bullying other kids at school. He got mad and screamed at me, calling me a "bastard". Instead of defending me, my wife got pissed and accused me of having taught our son to swear like that. I can never win. FML

Today, I asked my 5-year-old nephew to clean up his mess of toys. He responded by kicking my foot. My bandaged foot which was still recovering from my surgery last week. I'm probably going to need another operation to fix the damage. FML

Wow I hope that you punished him the way he deserved. I'm not for abusing children but I do believe in disciplining a child. There is a line some people do cross it and they themselves should be punished for it but bullying and disrespecting and hurting your parents is not ok

I do agree there is a line between discipline and child abuse. I was spanked in the middle of Wal-Mart as a child and I learned my lesson fast. Do I regret and think of my parents any less now that I'm an adult? No! I believe every child should have respect for their parents (and elders) but that is definitely developed within the household. OP I do hope your discipline was swift and effective!

I wouldn't do that because I have a healthy fear of my Mother. She would kill me dead in 2 seconds flat. I think he needs to learn some empathy and that your mom can whoop ass if she has to
