Today, I went for a job interview for a building position at a retail store. They saw on my application that I was good at math. They asked me what the circumference of a circle is. Being nervous during the interview, I accidentally said the area of a circle. I didn't get the job. FML

Staymintyfresh - Are you in the slow grammar class?

It's pi, you guys. Pie is food, pi is a number.

You couldn't have explained that to him? You could ask if you could come back when you've calmed down?

What were you supposed to be selling, Pokéballs?

78- If that were true, the volume of a sphere may be a more practical formulae for Pokemon storage. Try V=4 x pi x r^3, divided by 3. ;P

The job is designed for robots because he couldn't answer a question in a field he claimed to be good at? Huh? Your logic fails. Most jobs "designed for robots" are repetitive and require little to no intellectual abilities. Jobs where you actually have to use that little grey matter between your ears are what most people call "normal" jobs.

In 3rd grade they might teach you what circumference IS, but not how to find it.

Eh, a couple months ago I decided to randomly memorize Pi to the 9th digit. I wish we could have switched positions.

I even know that and I'm in grade 6 lol its okay I forget it sometimes too

Circumference of a circle: all depends on the size of the circle u are determining the circumference of! Lol.

Student: When are we EVER going to use this? Teacher: Well, one of my friends was in an interview for a job....
