Today, I turned 17. My parents completely forgot it was my birthday, and when I reminded them, my dad thought it was my 18th. He was ecstatic and mentioned that I can "finally get the hell out." FML

That sucks OP! My condolences. But on the bright side, happy 17th birthday! I hope it'll be much better next year.

Jokes on him, you get to stay another year!

Next year she'll be moving out. Try some pranks on your dad before you go. :)

Next year pretend your 17 again

But next year OP has to ''Get the Hell out!".

Well I sure hope it'll be better next year because she can get away from those assholes finally

Hmm. it used to be 22, but now it changed to 23. Interesting. But yeah thanks for the correction.

Happy 17th birthday Op! :)

That's sucks. Sorry OP

Happy birthday op

Hopefully you get a letter from Hogwarts bro :

He would be in his 7th year by now.

He would be in his 7th year by now.

Did you even read the books? Or at least watch the movies

If I remember correctly the Death Eaters actually destroyed all knowledge of muggle borns....basically all non "pure bloods" so really he could still get his letter....it just may take awhile....like mine.

Jokes on him, you get to stay another year!

But why would OP want to stay when he knows he's not wanted there?

Happy birthday OP! ...Maybe your dad just has an odd sense of humor? If not at least now you know that he has a problem with you or your behavior and now you two can work together and fix whatever's wrong in your relationship.

Revenge 101: Forget about all major occasions including their birthdays, Mother's/Father's Days and Christmas until they remember your major day...

Does it make you feel like a quote out of context?

Tell him it's actually your 16th. You'll make him cry.
