Use headphones, but only put one ear on so you can still hear. If you can, place your computer somewhere it can't be immediately visible from the door. Always have a second application open, like iTunes, that you can quickly click on (and headphones will seem even more reasonable after that). And worst case scenario, tell your mom that it's a perfectly healthy thing to do and that from now on could she please knock before entering. As long as you're cleaning up after yourself, I hardly see how it matters.
