Try a stool softener as mentioned before. Just don't take one that'll give explosive diarrhea.

Crazytwinsmom is right. Use a softener like Mirimax or Metimucil. They taste horrible, but it'll feel better than squeezing out bricks. DO NOT use Ex-Lax or harsh laxitives or any greasy, oily foods....then you'll be squeezing those ribs to stop the ass-fountain. Speaking from experience of 7 broken ribs here. My heart goes out to you, OP!
