Today, I got written up for asking my coworker a question that I should have asked my boss to ask my coworker. Yay bureaucracy. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got in trouble with my boss for doing what she wanted me to do. I guess she didn't think I would do it, so she did it herself. FML
Today, my boss yelled at me for leaving on time. After months of management hounding us about our overtime, I get in trouble for doing what I was supposed to do. FML
Today, at my new job, a coworker offered to help me mop the floors since she wasn't busy. I ended up getting written up by my boss for supposedly being too lazy and making other people finish my work. FML
Get out
Today, I was given my marching orders because I corrected my supervisor on something he was actually doing wrong. It seems I deserve this for "not learning to obey my immediate superiors." FML
Whiner!
Today, my boss yelled at me, telling me that I can't answer the phone anymore. Not because I do a bad job, but because a co-worker whined about it being her job. People call her and complain about how rude she is and then ask to talk to me. FML
Today, I got written up at work over false accusations that I didn't do some safety tasks. The same tasks that were done before I had even arrived. FML
You've got mail
Today, I got a write up from HR because the new boss says we have to check our e-mail everyday, and I missed checking my e-mail for one single day. FML
Wage slave
Today, I learned that asking your boss, “Am I gonna get paid extra?” when he asks that you chip in for your co-worker-who-just quit’s duties is not an appropriate response. In fact, I was written up for “insubordination” and “inability to be a team player.” FML
Mismanaged
Today, I got in trouble for following the rules at work. This is the third workplace where this has happened. Each time, when I provided the written document that showed the rules that I followed, I was told, "Well…" Don't make it a "rule" if it's really going to be a guideline with 50+ possible exceptions. FML
Today, I finished my last day of job training. At the beginning, the boss had told us to ask as many questions as possible. I was fired because I asked too many questions. FML

If they want to be inefficient that's their choice.

It's weird that rules like that are so strictly enforced...

Shouldn't you know what the rules of your workplace are?

Sounds like something I went through about a month ago. My boss pulled me aside and told me that one of my coworkers spoke to my bosses coworkers about my not wearing a bra to work. It was a little silly but thinking about it now, I would've been a little more peeved had they spoken to me directly about the issue. Still pissed me off but oh well

I'm curious as to why you wouldn't wear a bra to work in the first place...

Because **** bras.

Bras are optional.

I agree with 51, I feel like it's a bit rude if you've got nipples sticking out through your shirt.

oh yeah, natural actions are offensive. that makes so much sense. a person cannot help a natural reaction to basic stimulus - and shouldn't be faulted for it.

I'm constantly seeing men's nipples showing through their shirt and somehow I'm able to handle it.

the question must of been very important.

what was the nature of the question?

Wow. Talk about encouraging you to be a passive aggressive child, not to mention inefficient

That is so dumb. Hopefully a new job is on the horizon for you soon.
