Today, my girlfriend's mom pulled me aside and started telling me about how her daughter was extremely depressed and suicidal before she met me, and how happy her family is because of me. I was planning on breaking up with her within the next week. FML
Today, my girlfriend sent her new boyfriend over to my place to break up with me for her. FML
Today, my girlfriend's best friend was dumped, and was absolutely depressed. My girlfriend thought she'd show her sympathy by breaking up with me so they "could be single together." FML

Look at it this way, she was obviously pretty shallow or just not into the relationship so at some point you dodged a bullet and are now able to move on.
