Today, I learned that my dad invested my entire college fund into some shady internet stock, despite my dire warnings about being careful. He told me not to worry as he'd done some research, and he guaranteed everything would be fine. Two hours later that same stock dropped almost 75%. FML

most people don't even know what will happen, IF anything happens at all. people are panicking about a solar flare that might not even happen. the movie 2012 just exaggerated the effects (they combined 2 disasters to make one big disaster movie) if this does happen.

In 2012; the problems are supposedly caused by a solar flare in the Earth's core, which is completely impossible. It does not "combine 2 disasters" it is complete bullshit.

I am starting to get depressed about all the parents spending their kids' college funds. To me that is stealing. I don't care whether it's 2012 or 2021 or an alien invasion, unless we are starving to death or need money for a last ditch cancer treatment, I would never spend my kid's money. that's stealing,
