Today, I decided to talk to a girl at the gym I had seen there a lot. I walked up to her at the station she was at and asked her out to dinner sometime. I didn't realize she had been wearing headphones. She took them off and asked if I was waiting on the station. My courage left. I said yes. FML

Today, I was at the gym when I noticed a girl I like working out on the elliptical. I went to go say hi, but chickened out and went to run on the treadmill in front of her instead. I was so nervous that I tripped and the machine threw me headfirst into her machine. FML

Today, I got a text from a girl that I've had a crush on for a long time, asking me out to dinner. I agreed and went to the restaurant. Not long afterwards, I got text from her saying something had come up, so she couldn't make it. As I was walking back to my car, I saw her walk into the same restaurant with another guy. FML

Lame. Hitting on a woman at the gym is frowned upon. Most gyms have a policy against this crap.

Yep, this is exactly why there are women-only gyms. Attractive girls seemingly can't even go to the gym without someone trying to hit on them.

How about you just start talking to her, at first? Get a bit of recognition started. After a few conversations, then perhaps ask her out. I know I wouldn't just go to dinner with some random person from the gym that I'd never conversed with before.
