Today, after three weeks of putting it off, I decided to ask out the girl I've had a major crush on since third grade. When I told her, she smiled, but then quickly said, "But aren't you gay?" FML

Today, I worked up the courage to tell my girlfriend that I love her. She made a face like she'd just sucked on a lemon and said, "Um... yay, I guess...?" and awkwardly left the room. FML

The next day, I saw her making out with another man. When I confronted her, she said "Oh, you were serious yesterday?" FML

Mental age has nothing to do with it. Some people aren't ready to say something that meaningful after such a short period of time, and many other simply won't feel that way at that point. Maybe you're only mentally a five year old for not considering that.

I've lost a little bit more faith in our lovely land. There are DEFINITELY more intelligent females in NZ. I'm pretty sure I'm one, and I absolutely know quite a few others. Just... they're out there.
