Today, after breaking up with my boyfriend of 2 years, I was backing out of his driveway when he came running out yelling "STOP!" I thought he wanted to make up so I kept going, until I'd run over his dog. FML

Today, I was driving with my girlfriend. As we turned onto our block, she shrieked that our dog was running down the street and into traffic. I jumped out of the moving car and chased him for about a mile, only to give up, go home, and find out it wasn't our dog. FML

Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. As I left his house and began to drive away, I see him chasing after my car barefoot. I stop and roll down the window, ready to listen to the speech he has prepared to win me over with. He takes a moment to catch his breath and says "I want my cellphone back". FML

Today, I was backing out of my garage when my neighbour's collie ran behind my car. Unfortunately, I didn't see it, but I heard a thump. They were out, so I rushed him to the vet's. I was upset, and I guess I was driving too fast and didn't see that another dog was crossing the road. I killed two dogs today. FML

Today, my boyfriend came to visit me. He told me he was cheating on me, and that he wanted to break up. I was so angry that as he left, I started screaming at him out of my second story apartment window. I picked up a huge potted plant and shoved it through the window at him. Sorry OP but YDI, I feel bad for your ex, and truly hope his dog is okay. I think you should have stopped. All you'd have to do was stop and maybe lock the doors. But I won't call you a terrible person mainly because it was an accident. Hopefully the dog is okay, if it died then my condolences to your ex. But we don't know the whole story. We only know what you've mentioned in the limited characters applied. Please follow up and if the dog did survive, take responsibility for your actions and pay for the vet bills.

I'm on your side OP all these commenters are acting like they've never done something stupid when they were hurt. I feel awful for your ex yeah but given the limited characters it's entirely possible you were looking but if the dog is a toy poodle you aren't gonna see that thing which apparently people forget blind spots exist and looking behind you doesn't always work if it's to little or close. Yeah #92, i mean it's not like neighborhoods that have houses with driveways can have dogs walking around or Children playing outside. And someone yelling stop in a panick as you're backing up with your car isn't a reason to stop right ? Who never got drunk and drove because they were hurt ??
