Surprise arrival

Today, I just got home in a state of shock. My wife was apparently pregnant without realising it, with no weight gain, then she gave birth at 1 a.m. It was supposed to be a normal Sunday then poof, we have a baby and a house we haven’t baby-proofed. We don’t even have nappies or clothes. FML

Oof, that's a shock. I found out that such pregnancies are called Cryptic. Congratulations on your Cryptic child. Once the shock and argh has worn off, you'll be fine. It'll take a few weeks to get everything sorted but by next year, you'll be laughing about it. Just take a deep breath and don't worry about baby proofing until your surprise is actually moving about. All you need right now is a safe sleep spot, formula, some clothes and nappy stuff. Everything else will come together just fine. It will be a learning vertical rather than a curve but you'll get there.

there are so many great programs that you can call and they can give whatever u need. if u don't know where to to look call a local church first, you don't need to be Christian or Catholic to receive a hand up.

It's ok, it's shocking no matter how much you prepared for it... :-) Congratulations!
