The timing is unfortunate but, given the nature of FMLs, I won't paint the cousin a bitch just yet. My timing was different but I would be the "evil cousin" in a similar situation... I was friends with a man for a few years. I introduced him to my girl cousin. They dated for a few months and broke up. Three years later, my friend and I realized we wanted to be together and I moved in with him. The break up was bad and he doesn't want to have anything to do with her (me neither, actually) but I'm glad I have this man in my life this way now. Sure, the way the FML is written, it's easy to say the cousin is a bitch... but what do we know about the break up to make us say that ? People don't belong to others. Sometimes, things can sting, but moving on can and does happen on surprising timelines at times.

83, Are you serious? It hasn't been nearly long enough for OP'S cousin to move in on him. That is such a horrible thing to do. Whether or not they were meant for each other, the cousin could have waited until, at the very least, OP's tears dried.

Yeah but then it means we have to cater to everything that happens around us and I'm not going to do that *all* the time. I mean, for all we know, the "victim" in the relationship might have been the guy. We don't know. I don't know, so I'm not going to judge the cousin and yes, I'm serious. I mean, I've known horrible people who could seem so innocent on the surface, but when you turned around, they became someone else. Who are we to say that this isn't what happened ? What if OP is that kind of person ? Since I don't know, I can't just lean one way or another. Hence my point. Sometimes we are too quick to paint people in a bad light when we have no way to know. I'm not presumptuous enough to do that. There are FMLs where it's quite easy to do, this is not one of them at all.
