Let him cook
Today, my husband thought it would be acceptable to watch Breaking Bad on Netflix with my 4-year-old in the room. What happened to be the only line he picked up? "Well heil Hitler, bitch!" I found out from his preschool teacher. FML

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I was discussing my family heritage with my girlfriend's parents. The moment I told them that I came from a German background, her seven-year-old brother pointed at me and yelled, "HITLER!" FML
Today, I watched my mother tell a man that the holocaust was "a good thing" and "necessary for population control". That man was my girlfriend's father. Who is Jewish. FML
Today, my husband and I sat our 10-year-old daughter down for a chat over her recent cursing. When my husband asked where she'd heard the words, she "innocently" replied, "from mommy's other boyfriend." He took her seriously, accused me of cheating, and hasn't been home since. FML
Today, I found out my husband put a parental block on the TV so I couldn't rent a movie. I'm 42. FML
Today, my daughter is so out of touch with anything not related to her phone and her social popularity that she doesn't know who Hitler was. I had to show her on YouTube, and while we aren't religious anymore, we are a Jewish family so this is an extra level of parental shame for me. FML
Today, while babysitting a five year-old, I found a cartoon called Metalocalypse for him to watch while I made dinner. I didn't realize it was an "adult" cartoon until afterwards. He watched a whole episode about a clown with a cocaine problem. FML
Today, I got called into the school by my daughter's teacher. Apparently my daughter informed her class that over the weekend she spent her time with her daddy watching porn stars while her mummy was at work. It took a long time to convince her they were actually watching a TV show called "Pawn Stars". FML
Today, my husband, who is in the Navy, had a couple of his sailor friends over to hang out. The stereotype about their swearing is true. My two year old now won't stop saying "Fuck." FML
Today, I found out my ex lets our kids watch Game of Thrones during his weekend visits. Our kids are 8 and 6. FML
Today, my husband was in our newborn's room, holding and talking to him. I guess he forgot the baby monitor, because I overheard him say, "Wanna know a secret? Daddy kills people." I really hope he was just quoting Dexter. FML

How can you blame the husband when it's Breaking Bad? xD. But he'll have a laugh about it in a few years.

and watching it on any format other than Netflix would of been acceptable? Or have I missed the point here totally?
Voij 16
Yes, yes you have. It's about the fact that her 4-year old now yells this stuff wherever he goes, just because the husband was irresponsible enough to let his kid watch a show that's completely inappropriate for children. The mentioning of Netflix was only to give more detail into the situation.

I think he got what the real problem was...but he was (understandably) commenting on the unnecessary inclusion of "on Netflix." cant imagine the point of that modifier.

Well, heck, then let's just strip out all the details: "Today some guy let another guy hear something. The other guy repeated it to a lady, who told me. FML"

The mention of Netflix was probably brought up because it means the husband could have watched it at any other time. Ex: when the 4 year old wasn't around or asleep.

The FML community bitches if you don't add enough detail and bitches if you add too much detail.

You must be one of those bandwagon Breaking Bad "fans". Pathetic.

Jesse says it to Walt. I'm not sure but I feel like it would be during the scene early in season one when they are arguing over something (most likely lab equipment) Edit: oops realized there was a video posted :)

30, Well then, I must be a pathetic bandwagoners too. After so many people saying how great the show was, I finally decided to check it out. Especially since it's free on my Netflix's. I'm a fan.
whopper_sr 7
I guess it's just me overreacting... since I remember every line of the show.

Ah man, it would have been awesome if he picked up 'yeah, science bitch!' or 'I am the danger! I am the one who knocks!'.

any preschool teacher willing to believe that a four year old child would knowingly use the term heil hitler is too stupid to be teaching at any level
ManInTheMachine 20
I think the fact that the teacher would know that kids are impressionable would make things worse, since the child is only repeating what he hears at home. Which, in OP's case, might make them look like Neo-Nazis.
katties 27
Why would you assume she thought he used it knowingly? She was just probably a )checking if the parents actually taught him things like that b) warning them that their kid has picked it up somewhere, so they could try to make him stop saying it and avoid embarrassing situations with other people
hbake 13
Believe it or not my Grandma used to say that when i was younger (i pretend shes not) lol and i like to think i turned out ok, however kids are like sponges they absorb every little thing.
