Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

Dads can be rough like that ... but hes right .. don't live like that just cuz of some boy ! it's not gonna be your last relationship or whatever .. come on !! hang with friends or something to atleast laugh and be happy.. cuz we all know that boy of 3 months is livin his life with no doubt of feelin down ... you will be okay.. :P

sweetie im sure he didn't mean it as harsh as it sounded but it was only a three month relationship. Im not sure how old you are but im guessing you are pretty young. there you are going to go through many more break ups. life will go on and you will some day meet the right person. Perhaps it is time to grow up and study more on college or getting a good career. Love your father and don't take it personal.

honestly you dad shouldn't have said that as a parent thats uncalled for and immature but at the same time it was only three months If u can't handle a breakup after that how r u gonna deal with ones when the start getting longer

Comon, really? Grow a pair and suck it up!! It would make sense if it were 3 years, but 3 months???? My last relationship was only 10 months, and I got over it super fast. I'm still here, and happy as can be!!
