Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

To be honest, it doesn't matter if you have liked someone for ten years, dating for three months and then becoming "attatched," is garbage. You haven't even dated long enough to justify living together, yet you feel life is not worth living when you break up. That is a sure sign you were probably super clingy and you have become too sentimental. You need help in that case.
