Stand up for yourself

Today, I overheard my mom’s boyfriend viciously berating and verbally abusing her. I got in his face and started yelling that he can’t talk to her that way. He stormed out and we haven’t heard from him since. Now my mom is pissed and wants to kick me out for “ruining” her relationship. Sorry I guess. FML

Be kind to her. Two of the first steps in abusive relationships are isolating the victim and making them think they deserve it or can’t get anyone better. She might already genuinely believe it and be unable to realize how messed up it is.

love your mom fiercely through this time that he is gone out of the house, who knows maybe he won't come back and you both can rekindle your relationship and help her find a better man for her

That's just sad that she's willing to put up with that kind of abuse.

The bottom line is: You ****-blocked her. Maybe they have some kind of dom-sub thing going on?
